Privacy policy
What we collect, why we collect it, and what we will never do with it. Written to be read, not to be survived.

Who this covers
This policy covers ChatNory, the chatbot platform at chatnory.com and its app, and this website. It applies to two groups of people: customers who hold a ChatNory account, and visitors who talk to a chatbot a customer has put on their site.
Where a customer runs a chatbot on their own website, that customer is the data controller for their visitors' conversations, and we process those conversations on their behalf.
What we collect from customers
- Account details — your name, email address and password (stored hashed, never in readable form).
- Workspace content — the chatbots you build, the files and links you add, and the answers you write.
- Billing details — your plan, payment history and invoice details. Card numbers are handled by our payment providers and never reach our servers.
- Keys and tokens — any API key or channel token you connect, encrypted with AES-256-GCM before it is stored.
- Usage records — how many messages and chatbots you use, so we can apply your plan's limits.
What we collect from chatbot visitors
- The conversation — what was asked and what the chatbot answered.
- Anything the visitor chooses to give — name, phone, email or other details entered in the pre-chat form, plus files or voice notes they send.
- Basic technical data — the page the chat started on, the approximate region, the browser type. We do not build advertising profiles.
All of this belongs to the customer whose chatbot it is. They can see it, export it and delete it from their panel.
How we use it
To run your account, answer your visitors' questions, apply your plan's limits, send you the emails you asked for, take payment, and support you when you write to us. That is the whole list.
What we do not do
- We do not sell or rent your data to anyone.
- We do not use your content or conversations to train AI models, ours or anyone else's.
- We do not show advertising, and we do not run advertising trackers on your chatbot.
- We do not read your conversations except when you ask us to, for support, or where the law requires it.
Who else touches your data
We use a small number of providers to run the service: hosting, AI model providers that generate answers, payment processors, and an email provider for the messages we send you. They receive only what they need to do their part, and they are bound not to use it for anything else.
Where you connect a channel yourself — WhatsApp, Messenger, Telegram, your shop, your CRM — data also flows to that service, under that service's own terms.
How long we keep it
Account and workspace data is kept while your account exists. Conversations are kept until you delete them or close your account. Billing records are kept for as long as tax law requires. When you delete your account we remove your data within 30 days, except anything we are legally obliged to retain.
Where it is kept, and how it is protected
Data is encrypted in transit. Passwords are hashed. API keys, tokens and other secrets are encrypted at rest with AES-256-GCM. Each workspace is separated: no customer can see another customer's chats, files or visitors.
Your rights
You can see, correct, export or delete your data at any time from your panel, or by writing to us. Depending on where you live you may also have the right to object to processing, to restrict it, or to complain to your data protection authority. We will not make you jump through hoops for any of this.
Cookies
The app uses cookies and local storage only to keep you signed in and remember your preferences — your language, your last-used chatbot. The chat widget stores a conversation id so a visitor can continue where they left off. None of it is used for advertising.
Children
ChatNory is a business tool and is not intended for children under 16. We do not knowingly collect their data.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything that matters, we will say so on this page and, for material changes, email account holders before it takes effect.
